The proposed venue is a 12,000-seat indoor entertainment and sports arena located at Carey Park in Southport. Mayor Tate emphasized that the project is a vital component of the city’s legacy planning for the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games. By finalizing the proponent this week, the council aims to have the arena delivered by 2030, well ahead of the global event.
