Rail replacement buses will be operating in both directions throughout the day. The bridge overpass at Ridgevale Drive remains fully closed today as part of the 2026 bridge replacement program. Detours are in place via the Smith Street Motorway, which is seeing higher-than-usual traffic volumes, particularly at the Parkwood and Arundel interchanges. Additionally, motorists using the Smith Street Motorway off-ramp toward Southport should be aware of narrowed lanes and temporary speed reductions due to ongoing pavement maintenance.

Those heading into the Gold Coast Hinterland should anticipate intermittent delays on the Gold Coast-Springbrook Road. Stop/slow traffic control is active across multiple sites between Neranwood and Pine Creek Road due to ongoing landslip remediation. Meanwhile, in Mudgeeraba, Berrigans Road remains closed to through traffic between Gold Coast Springbrook Road and Mark Way for essential road rehabilitation.
