Thursday on the Coast: A Cultural Deep Dive
Happy Thursday, Gold Coast! As we head toward the weekend, the city’s cultural calendar is heating up with a diverse range of activities. Whether you are in the mood for high-octane rock, a journey through ancient history, or a touching Broadway-style musical, there is plenty to explore today, March 26, 2026. The weather is perfect for a gallery crawl or an evening at the theatre.
Psychedelic Jazz and Rock at Mo's Desert Clubhouse
If you're looking for an evening of eclectic sounds, head down to Burleigh Heads. The psychedelic rock trio O.R.B is taking the stage at Mo’s Desert Clubhouse tonight. Fresh off their 2025 U.S. tour, the band is back on home soil to deliver their signature blend of "fuzz" and impromptu psychedelic jazz. They will be supported by local acts Wizard Tricks and Shade Hadie. Doors open at 7:00 PM, and for those arriving early, the Spanish Girl Food Co will be serving pre-show dinner and drinks starting from 6:00 PM. Please note that this is an 18+ licensed event.

Musical Theatre: Come From Away
For theatre enthusiasts, the Spotlight Theatre is currently hosting the award-winning musical Come From Away. This production chronicles the real-life experiences of the residents of Gander, Newfoundland, and the 7,000 airline passengers who were forced to land there during the events of September 11, 2001. It is a profound story of generosity and compassion, performed by a talented 12-person ensemble. As the season is scheduled to wrap up this weekend, tonight is one of your last opportunities to catch this emotional and uplifting show on the Gold Coast.
From the creative hub of Burleigh to the world-class galleries of the central coast, today offers a diverse snapshot of the region's thriving arts scene. Make the most of these local events and support our local performers and artists!
